The Denis Zhug Flank Maneuver is the iconic move by Denis Zhug in the series Rimworld: Punching God. The Denis Zhug Flank Maneuver was conceived, tried, and successfully completed one time in the episode Stuffed With Mechanoids | Rimworld: Punching God #9 at 6:38.

Sam thought to do the Denis Zhug Flank Maneuver when a raid of piggies from Mol-Boomok invaded Codex's Shack and blew a hole through the right wall. These piggies then engaged in urban warfare with Codex's Hermitage in the center street. After tidying up another group of piggies to the west of the base who were unable to break through Sam's intense wall defense (one layer of wall followed by some traps leading to a door), everyone besides Goat Ham who took a bullet to the brain and became comatose, moved to defend the center street. Since it was raining and all of Codex's allies were completely dogshit at shooting, melee specialists Denis Zhug and Ankle Shankle (who was NOT part of the Denis Zhug Flank Maneuver) were ordered to flank around the disco room in order to sneak up on the piggies by surprise. As Denis Zhug swung his axe at Moftup, Sam commented at how this was obviously the well known Denis Zhug Flank Maneuver, of which everyone had heard of before, as well as that it had a page on the wiki. This is that page.

Introduction
In what is revealed to be a simulation while they're in cryptosleep flying through space, the hopeful mage Hokus, and the serious businessman Mondo imagine they are on a Rimworld, living their dream of building a cannibal "sushi" restaurant, meanwhile gaining psychic powers.

Series Summary
Sam wanted to see what the 1.2 update had to offer, and since not many mods were updated yet, he did a small-scale short series to learn how quests, the Empire, and psycasts work. Along the way, Sam realized that he had "Vanilla Cooking Expanded: Sushi" installed, and decided to build a cannibal suchi restaurant. The series is mainly handicapped by the fact that characters explode on death, meaning melee combat is not viable and there is lots of destruction. Lots of sushi is made, and quests completed, but the restaurant never comes to fruition, since raids just became unbeatable with everyone exploding. In the end, most of the colony dies, and Sam makes the executive decision to move on to the long awaited "Save Our Ship 2" series. Hokus and Mondo aren't lost, though, since it's revealed that the events of this series were a dream they had while flying through space in cryptosleep, and the next series is a direct continuation of their story.
Summary by Episode
* Episode 1 The first third of this episode consisted of Sam setting up the scenario. He was originally going to begin with one very psychically attuned pawn - Hokus, but decided it would be more fun to give her a more grounded counterpart, so he created Mondo. While setting up a farm, Sam noticed the crop wasabi, added by "Vanilla Cooking Expanded: Sushi", and decided that he wanted to set up a cannibal sushi restaurant. Hokus and Mondo "suddenly remembered" that they had the cannibal trait, and thus the main goal of the series was set up. Don was bought from a slaver caravan.
* Accepting ALL the Quests! This episode opened on some art created by BlueChaos. Don was sent for a 21 day quest to the Empire, giving Hokus 7 honor, making her a yeoman. Emily joined the colony. Sam goes on a 2 minute tangent praising the "Designable Shapes" mod. "Desperate survivors" Gross and Omar are accepted into the colony. Sam finds that the most difficult part of having characters explode on death is that melee combat is not viable, and the colony only has 1 gun.
* This Was a Mistake This episode opened on Sam thanking Sarg, the creator of "Vanilla Cooking Expanded: Sushi" for updating the mod to actually allow sushi to be made with human meat. Sam accepts a quest to host Immanuil Patrick for 22 days with a required above mood of above 50%. Gross and Omar attempt to leave through the cave system, causing them to immediately die to insects. Due to there being limited food on the map, the animals all crowd around the farm and eat the crops. Hokus is forced to try to hunt them in an enclosed space when they could explode. Chuckles crashes down in a transport pod and joins the colony after being rescued. Immanuil dies to a mad ostrich. Don returns to the chaos that unfolded while he was gone. The episode ends on a mod conflict which caused Hokus to refuse to cook and endlessly haul vegetables.
* Chaos. Pure Chaos. Hokus's hauling issue is resolved. Sam also installed an automatic trading mod, to make up for not having "Hospitality" to sell human sushi. Sam puts it up to a vote if he should add to the explosion radius of dead characters if he fails a quest. Sam accepts a quest to keep 2 prisoners, not knowing that they were literally prisoners and wouldn't work. The prisoners are forced to eat nothing but hundreds of onions grinded into a fine paste. Cyala, then known as Aletta, is imprisoned. The first human "surimi" is made. Ame C joins when the prisoners are returned. A settlement sends a quest for 510 human leather; Sam knows what he must do. The group survives a large raid that was part of an Empire quest, allowing Hokus to become an acolyte. Sam is forced to accept 8 refugees during a drought and with most of the colony injured.
* Balancing Act Viewers voted that the explosion radius shouldn't increase when a quest fails, because of how horrible that would be to progress. Sam makes a compromise by editing quest rewards so that a successful quest adds 10% more, while a failed quest resets the meter back down to 80%. Human butchering is put into overdrive in order to meet the human leather quest demands. Chuckles and Emily are sent to Brio Crag to trade the human leather. They are showered in so much plasteel as a reward that they are immobilized.
* Remember to Bring Guns Next Time Sam begins this episode by explaining that due to both him and viewers disliking the fact that characters explode on death, it was removed. Cyala is recruited. Don was unintentionally resurrected because Sam recorded the previous episode in 2 parts, and loaded the wrong save. An area was revealed behind the mountain, also revealing an ancient danger. Sam accepts an Empire quest for 10 honor to Mondo, which had a mechanoid cluster land with a toxic spewer. Emily is killed by the mechanoid, but they win and Mondo becomes an acolyte. A raid drop pods in from Dolly's Moles. The group wins in a pyrrhic victory with everyone except Mondo and Ame C dead. Sam added a pinned comment to this episode talking about how things fell apart, so he'd just be moving onto the long awaited "Save Our Ship 2" series.

Trivia
* Sarg Bjornson, the maker of the mod "Vanilla Cooking Expanded: Sushi", updated the mod to actually include a recipe for making sushi with human meat. Sam didn't realize that he wouldn't have been able to open a cannibal sushi restaurant at first, and thanked Sarg in episode 3 for the mod update.
* The main goal for the series wasn't thought up until the middle of episode 1 when Sam noticed that "Vanilla Cooking Expanded: Sushi" added wasabi as a growable crop. Hokus and Mondo were quickly given the cannibal trait so they could make human sushi to eat.
* This series marks the first appearance of both pawns Hokus and Mondo.
* This series is directly continued in the next: Rimworld: Space Simulation.
* This series marks the first use of the "Designable Shapes" mod, a near-permanent edition to Sam's future modpacks.

The Denis Zhug Flank Maneuver is the iconic move by Denis Zhug in the series Punching God.

While waiting for more mods to update to the newly released 1.2, Sam wanted to do a lighter series closer to vanilla, as well as in order to check out the update for himself. Sam used the vanilla Rich Explorer scenario, but made it so that psyfocus costed 25% of what they normally did, casting took 50% of the time it normally did, they started with the research tree sowing, and most notably, all characters explode on death (this was removed before episode 6).

* This series is directly continued in the next: Space Simulation.
* This series marks the first use of the "Designable Shapes" mod, a near-permanent edition to Sam's future modpacks.
