• Originally joined with the nickname "Zoodles". Sam changed the nickname to "Ankle Shanker", then changed it again to "Ankle Shankle" after a mispronunciation.
• Ankle Shankle has been compared in a similar manner to Binkle from the Twilight series. This is because both of them were children raised in the colony who immediately got into relationships with adults who helped raise them, Ankle Shankle marrying Codex, and Binkle marrying Christian Slab. Ankle Shankle's relationship is considered significantly more messed up as Codex was her adoptive father-figure, while Christian was just Binkle's neighbor and arguably the victim in their scenario. Codex and Christian were also coincidentally both nicknamed Sam's "special little boys", which he immediately regretted both times.
